Billie Slaughter married Miss Lucille Gay on 15 November 1942 at Fort Worth, Texas in a ceremony at the Arlington Heights Christian Church. The rites were read by Rev. Marshall D. Masters, the pastor. Those attending the wedding were Mr. and Mrs. Russel L. Slaughter of Fort Worth. The bride is well known in Graham and for many years has been owner /operator of Gay Studio. She will continue her business while her husband is doing active duty in the US Armed forces. Lucille was a member of a pioneer family. She graduated from Graham High and attended McMurry University for two years. Billie and Lucille Slaughter were the owners of Slaughter Picture Studio in Graham for 30 years until her retirement. She was a member of First United Methodist Church and an active member of the Truth Group at the church. She was a lifetime resident of Graham, Texas.

Survivors were three nephews - Herbert C. Slaughter, Russell Slaughter, A.B. Hale, Jr; two nieces - Betty Caroline Shaw and Sharon Joy Freeman.
