Blanche Gay was a member of a pioneer family who came to Graham, Texas in 1872. She graduated from Graham High School and then attended Kidd-Key and DePauw University in her father's home state of Indiana. At the age of 11 years on 9 July 1894, she became a member of the Graham Methodist Church under the pastorate of Rev. E.T. Harrison. Mrs. Gay was a faithful member and worker in the Woman's Missionary Society which was first known as the "Mite Society." She remained a continuous and faithful member of the church for 76 years.
Survived by one daughter - Mrs. B.C. Slaughter; two nieces; many friends.
