Services for Mrs. J.R. Ramsey, 69, member of a pioneer Young County family were held at the family home with Rev. J.C. Johnson, pastor of the First Presbyterian Church, and Rev. W.M. Greenwaldt, pastor of the First Methodist Church officiating. Mrs. Ramsey was a member of the Methodist Church and the DAR.
Survived by two sisters - Mrs. Carrie J. Crouch and Mrs. Adele J. Gay; one brother - C.W. Johnson, Jr; three nieces - Miss Alyne Crouch, Jane Johnson, and Mrs. B.C. Slaughter.
Pallbearers were: John Riggs, Malcolm Stewart, Ed Graham, E. Bruce Street, Gene Wignall, A.L. Vaughan, Paul Jones, E.H. Griffin, Roy Stephens, Dennis Newton.
