Rodney LaFontaine 1954-1996

Rodney Bruce LaFontaine, 42, of Johnstown, North Dakota, and formerly of Bagley, died suddenly on Sunday, November 3, 1996, at his home.
He was born July 23, 1954, at Northwood, North Dakota, to parents Donald and Adeline LaFontaine. His early years were spent in Northwood where he attended school except for his last two years at Bagley where he graduated with the class of 1972. He was employed by Karley Farms of Johnstown for 21 years and had been their farm foreman.
Survivors include two sons, Ryan and Jason, both of Bagley; stepson, Tim Efteland of Bagley; stepdaughter Kim (Troy) Cameron of Thief River Falls; his parents, Donald and Adeline LaFontaine of Bagley; five sister, Margie (Kelly) Bellefy of Shevlin, Sharon (Al) Hedlund of McIntosh, Sue (Steve) West of Bagley, Donna Ehlers of Bagley, and Sally (Lowell) Amundson of Mentor; two brothers, LeRoy of Bagley, and Marvin of Gilby, North Dakota; three grandchildren; 20 nieces and nephews; and several aunts and uncles.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Lloyd and Elise LaFontaine and Henry and Christine Holweger of Emerado, North Dakota; two nieces, Samantha West and Marlene Willis.
Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Friday, November 8, at Faith Lutheran Church of Bagley with Rev. Dennis Brovold officiating. Visitation will be Thursday, November 7 from 7 to 8 p.m. at Cease Family Funeral Home in Bagley with a prayer service at 8 p.m. Burial will be at the Bagley City Cemetery.
