Obituary: Carter - Mr. John R. 73 of Hialeah passed away May 15. Resident of this community for 49 years coming from Texas. [Incorrect - he did not come from Texas.] He was a retired plumber. Mr. Carter was a member of Masonic Lodge No. 247 the Scottish Rite, the Hialeah-Miami Springs Lions Club and the Moose Lodge. Survived by his wife Catherine, daughter Mrs. Karlie Wenrich, NMB [North Miami Beach], 2 brothers Ralph and Charlie, 5 sisters Mrs. Elizabeth M. Robinson, Mrs. Leone Carrey [Carey], Mrs. Karlie Wallace, Mrs. Lillie B. Thompson, all of Florida, and Margaret Aguillard of Texas, 2 grandchildren. Friends may call 7-9 P.M. Thurs. Funeral services 10 A.M. Fri at the Carl F Slade Palm Springs-Miami Lakes Chapel, 1325 W 49 St. Interment Southern Memorial Park. (Newspaper name and date not identified on clip that I have.)
