...Word has reached here of the death of S.T. Holcroft of Arvada, Wyoming, a former resident of Adair county.
...He is the oldest son of O.P. Holcroft of Gifford. He was ill but a short time, his death being due to tick fever, resulting from a tick bite.
...Mr. Holcroft was born and raised in Adair County. He went to Wyoming about thirty-five years ago and had sucessfully conducted a sheep and cattle ranch.
...He is survived by his wife and three children of Arvada, Wyoming, his father, O.P. Holcroft of Gifford, five sisters, Mrs. Osa Walker, Mrs. Caroline Easley, Mrs. Sadie Walker and Miss Grace Holcroft and Mrs. Goldie Gray of Des Moines, Iowa; two brothers, Herb and Owen Holcroft of Gifford besides a host of other relatives and friends to mourn their loss.
...Mr. Holcroft was forty-nine years and five months old at the time of his death. He died at the Memorial Hospital in Sheridan, Wyoming.
