Mrs. Rosa Trimble, a long time Wellington resident, died in an Elk City nursing home at 12:10 p.m. Friday, February 1 at the age of 86.
Mrs. Trimble had lived in Wellington 56 years before she moved to Elk City 8 years ago. She was a housewife.
The former Rosa Violet Bishop, she was born December 17, 1893 at Springtown, the daughter of the late J.M. and Jane Ensey Bishop.
She was married to John W. Trimble on July 9, 1911 at Union Hill, near Olney. The couple lived at Simpson, OK before coming here.
Mr. Trimble died February 4, 1949.
She had been a member of the Church of Christ for many years.
Survivors include three daughters, Mrs. W.D. Bergvall of Wellington, Mrs. Jack Dowdy of Elk City, and Mrs. Doyle Tarver of Hamshire, England; three sons, R.J. Trimble of Dallas, Cecil Trimble of Shamrock, and John W. Trimble of McAllen; one brother, O.H. Bishop of Wellington, 22 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren.
