Otto F. Gebhart, 82, of Charlesburg, died Saturday morning in Calumet Memorial Hospital, Chilton, after a short illness.

He was born in Charlesburg, Oct. 14, 1894 a son of Andrew and Anna Olbrich Gebhart. June 3, 1924 he married Marie C. Hoffmann in Charlesburg.
Mr. Gebhart farmed in the town of Charlestown, Calumet County, his entire life until his retirement in 1963. He then moved to Charlesburg.

He was a member of St. Charles Catholic Church, Charlesburg, its Holy Name Society. He was also a veteran of World War I and a member of American Legion Post 125, Chilton, and a member of the Chilton Senior Citizens.

Mr. Gebhart is survived by his widow; three daughters, Mrs. Elroy (Dolores) Kasper of Chilton, Mrs. George (Mary Ann) Cullen of New Holstein and Mrs. Edward (Rita) Schmitz of New Berlin; two sons, Carl and Donald, both of rural Chilton; 17 grandchildren; a sister, Miss Mary Gebhart of Chilton, and a brother, Julius of Charlesburg. Four brothers and a sister preceded him in death.

Funeral Mass was Monday at St. Charles Catholic Church. The Rev. Ervin Matt, pastor of St. Joseph Catholic Church at Waterloo, Iowa, and the Rev. David Christel, pastor of St. Charles, were concelebrants of the funeral Mass. Burial was in the parish cemetery.
