Mrs. Rivers was born in Johnson County, May 25, 1902, the daughter of Abraham and Mary Elizabeth Rice Fitzpatrick.
She was a member of the Freewill Baptist Church. Surviving are her husband, Bert Rivers and a daughter, Phyllis Ann Rivers of Nashville,TN.
Funeral services were held January 20 in Southside Freewill Baptist Church with Rev.Eddie Young and Rev. Fred Hawkins officiating.
Burial was in Wells-Buckingham cemetery at Paintsville with Paintsville Funeral Home handling arrangements.
