Funeral services for Mrs. Rosie Hirlston, age 80, of Hazel Green, AL, who passed away Saturday, February 13, 2010 in the Huntsville Hospital conducted graveside in the Lincoln Cemetery with Bro. Benny Berry officiating with burial to follow. The Gallant-Riverview Funeral is assisting the family.
Mrs. Hirlston was a native of Madison County, AL, the daughter of the late Alvie Wheeler & Pearlie Holder Sharpe.
She was a Housewife and was of the Methodist faith.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by 2 sisters: Frances Honey and Betty Norman.
Survivors include her husband of 60 years Whitt Hirlston of Hazel Green, AL; 2 daughters: Sandie Shaffer and husband: Ron of Huntsville, AL; and Amanda ' Tutor ' Linnihan & husband: Sean of Lacey's Springs, AL; 2 sisters: Fannie Mae Ellett of Hazel Green, AL, and Gracie Locker of Fayetteville, TN; 1 brother: Alvie Sharpe, Jr. of Flintville, TN; and 3 grandchildren: Emily Shaffer, Kelley Shaffer, & Catherine Linnihan.
