He remained there until he grew to manhood and then located at Hilbert, where he followed farming and where he was united in marriage to Barbara Hearrod. In 1887 they moved to the town of Brothertown and purchased a farm a mile and a half southwest of Charlesburg, which they owned until three years ago when they disposed of it and after a short residence in Milwaukee located near Elkhart Lake.
Mr. Lenz had been in poor health for several years past and his death was due to tuberculosis.

Elkhart Lake
The remains of John Lenz, who died at his home here, were taken to Charlesburg last Saturday morning, where the funeral services took place at 10 o'clock at the Catholic Church. The deceased is survived by his widow and four sons, Simon and Ferd of Milwaukee, Joseph of Elkhart Lake and Engelbert of Charlesburg.
