Mabel M. Holt, 89, of Olney, passed away at 10:10 p.m. Wednesday, March 31, 2010, at Richland Memorial Hospital in Olney.
Visitation will be from 1-2 p.m. Tuesday at Stasi-Grove Funeral Home in Olney. Services will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home with Minister Larry Weber officiating. Burial will be in Crest Haven Memorial Park Cemetery in rural Claremont.
Mrs. Holt was born January 11, 1921, in Olney, the daughter of Alva and Edna (Winans) Brooks. She married Bill Black. He preceded her in death. She married Clyde Holt on August 4, 1990, in Branson, Mo. He survives.
She was a homemaker, member of Elm Street Christian Church, and a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister and friend. She will be sadly missed by all who knew her.
Mrs. Holt is survived by her husband, Clyde Holt; son, James Black; brothers, Kenneth Brooks and Robert Brooks; sisters, Mildred Head, Jeanne Cantwell and Mary Stewart; sister-in-law, Doris Brooks; grandson, Tony Black; six grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Bill Black; parents, Alva and Edna Brooks; two sons; one daughter; four brothers; and two sisters.
