Mrs Mary Schmidt, 69, died at 12:30 pm Tuesday at the residence on State Road 30, about four miles west of this city. She had been ill one month of bronchial pneumonia. The deceased was a life-long member of the Bethlehem Lutheran Church of Washington Township and a member of the Ladies' Aid Society. Surviving besides the husband, August Schmidt are: Six children, Carl of Washington Township; Christ, living at home, and August Jr, Mrs Emma Moore, Mrs Augusta Witte and Mrs Amelia Mertens, all of this city; three brothers, William and John Tielker of this city, and Fred Tielker of Lake Township. Funeral services will be held Friday at 1:30pm at the residence and at 2pm at Bethlehem Lutheran Church with the Rev Alfred Boester officiating. Burial in the church cemetery.
