JOHANNA ISAACSON (This last name is spelled incorrectly; it was ISAACS).

Born March 24, 1851
Died Jan. 7, 1914

Mrs Joanna Isaacson was born in Sweden, March 24, 1851, and there she was
baptized and confirmed. Her parents were Nels and Hanna Palm.

She emigrated to this country in 1872 and lived with relatives in the Rock
Creek settlement. She was united in marriage to R. Isaacson, and to this union
nine children were born, of which six survive her: Mrs. Rachel Johnson of
Maddock, N.D.; Nels, of Leon, Kans.; Mrs. Elizabeth Finsand, Rolf and Elmer,
at home and Clarence who lives near by.

Three stepchildren, two brothers, a sister and eight grandchildren also
survive her.

Mr. Isaacson passed away three years ago, since which time the widow and her
children had been conducting the farm that had been her home since her
marriage.

Death came to her January 7, 1914.

The funeral services, held January 19 in the Rock Creek Lutheran church, of
which she was a member for so many years were conducted in both Norwegian and
English languages. All her children with the exception of Nels were present.
