Rollef Isaaksen was born November 1829 at Norway. (Name found as Robert Isacson, Isaac and Isaacs after he came to America. )

Robert emigrated in 1850 to Wisconsin. He married a Susan (surname unknown, born 1840 Norway, d between 1860-1864 at Adams, Wisconsin) about 1858 at Wisconsin.

The couple had 3 children who were all born at Strongs Prairie, Adams, Wisconsin:
Rena Mary (b 1858);
Cornelia Olava (b 1860, d January 8, 1954 Leeds, Benson, North Dakota) and
Cornelius "Ole" Isaacs (b 1860, d unknown).

Found in the June 28, 1860 census at Strongs Prairie, Adams, Wisconsin: Robert Isaacson age 29, born in Norway, $800 in real estate, $200 in personal; wife Susan, age 20, born in Norway; daughter Rena Marie age 1 born in Wisconsin; brother Andrew Isaacson age 25, born in Norway.

After Susan's death, Rollef moved his family to Cedar, Mitchell, Iowa (before 1865).

He married Randvi Maria Aadsdatter Himle (b February 4, 1836 Voss, Hordaland, Norway, d April 9, 1871 Cedar, Mitchell, Iowa) on October 7, 1865 at the First Lutheran Church at St Ansgar, Mitchell, Iowa.

He and Randvi had 2 children who were born at Cedar, Mitchell, Iowa:
Steena Susannah Isaacs (b 1867, d unknown) and
Edward (b March 11, 1868, d 1935 at Buchanan, Stutsman, North Dakota).

Two years after Randvi's death, Robert married Johanna Palm (b March 24, 1851 Sweden, d January 7, 1914 Cedar, Mitchell, Iowa) in 1873 at Mitchell County, Iowa.

Robert and Johanna had 7 children who were all born at Cedar, Mitchell, Iowa:
