Harold Glenwood Butcher, 55, Rocheport, died Wednesday morning at his home following a long illness.

Mr. Butcher was born in Russellville, Mo., April 22, 1920, the son of the late William and Nora Lamonte Butcher. He married Dorothea Dean Wright of Rocheport on September 28, 1945.

Mr. Butcher was employed at the University power plant for the last 18 years. He was a World War II veteran and a member of the Pentecostal Church of Rocheport.

Mr. Butcher is survived by his wife and daughter; eight brothers, Milford L. Butcher, Florida, Jesse G. Butcher, Kansas, Ralph Featherston, Kansas City, Roy E. Butcher, Fulton, Isham L. Butcher, Colorado, Walter E. Landrum, Jefferson City, William A. Landrum and Virgil Landrum, both of California; and five sisters, Mrs. George Warden and Mrs. Richard Salmons, both of Fulton, Mrs. Edward Akers, Steedman, Mrs. Lester Pancoast, Braymer, and Gladys Hughes, Jefferson City.

Two sisters and one brother proceded him in death.

Services will be conducted by the Rev. Raymond Reno, Sedalia, at 2 p.m., Saturday at the Memorial Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow at the Memorial Park Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home Friday afternoon and on Saturday until the time of services.
