MILFORD LEWIS "BUTCH" BUTCHER:

Milford Lewis "Butch" Butcher, 89, of Lakeland, Florida, formally of Callaway County, Missouri, died Sunday, April 20, 2003, at Lakeland Regional Medical Center.

He was born on August 3, 1913, in California. He married Maisie, Opal second wife, Margie third wife, Maisie forth wife and later Sarah Bridges-Butcher. She survives of the home. His first four wives preceded him in death.

Survivors also include two sons, Darrell Butcher of Fulton and Jerrold Butcher of Jacksonville, Florida, four brothers, Jesse Butcher and Isham Butcher, both of Fulton, Ray Lamdrum of Sacramento, California and Walter Landrum of Jefferson City, three sisters, Dorothy Warden and Opal Salmons, both of Fulton and Abby Akers of Benton City, sixteen grandchildren, sixteen great-grandchildren and a great-great-grandchild.

He was also preceded in death by a son, Donald Lewis Butcher and two daughters, an eight year old daughter, Helen Jewell Butcher and a stillborn female infant.

Mr. Butcher was a field superintendent and worked in the shipyards building Liberty Ships for the War effort during World War 11. He was a member of the Pipefitters Local#725 in Miami, Florida. He was a 32ed-degree Mason and a private pilot. He was a member of Wesley Memorial United Methodist Church, where he was past chairman of trusties, on the finance committee and an usher.

Services were held at Wesley Memorial United Methodist Church in Lakeland, Florida.
