He was born February 6, 1904, at Yakima, Wash., to Joe and Elizabeth (Myer) Verwolf. The family moved to Manhattan when he was a small boy and he attended school there.
He married Sophia Randall on a farm near Manhattan on April 26, 1926. They rented a farm for a few years south of Manhattan. He later went to work for the Trident Cement plant. They later moved to East Helena, where he worked in the smelter for several years. He then returned to Manhattan and farmed along Jackrabbit Lane. He later worked a few years at a sawmill in West Yellowstone and then retired and returned to Manhattan.
Survivors include his wife of Manhattan; a brother, Henry Verwolf of Toston; three sisters, Jennie DeBoer of South Dakota, Bertha Gray of San Francisco, Calif., and Elizabeth Randall of Belgrade.
Funeral services will be Tuesday at 2 p.m. at the K&L Mortuary Chapel in Three Forks with the Rev. Roger Hill officiating. Burial will be at the Sunset Memorial Park in Bozeman.
