Julius Ninmer, Schleswig Pioneer, Is Called To Rest
Kiel—Julius Ninmer, aged 83, pioneer resident of the town of Schleswig, passed away at his home at 10:30 p.m. Tuesday after a long illness.
Mr. Ninmer was born in Germany Nov. 14, 1852, and in 1856 came to this country with his parents who located in the town of Schleswig on a farm now owned by Harry Rabe. On Jan. 14, 1876, he was united in marriage to Bertha Sievert, also of the town of Schleswig and the couple have always resided on their present farm home. Seven children were born to the couple, two of whom preceded their father in death.
Besides his wife, Mr. Ninmer is survived by three sons, William of the town of New Holstein, Henry of the town of Schleswig, and George on the homestead, two daughters, Mrs. George Brocker and Mrs. Herman Rabe of the town of Eaton; a brother, August of the town of Schleswig; three sisters, Mrs. Christian Fischer, Mrs. August Luedke and Mrs. Anna Sternbeck, all of Kiel, and eight grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held Friday at the C. J. Meiselwitz Funeral Home here. Burial will be made in the Fischer cemetery on the Ucker road. The body can be viewed at the funeral home from Thursday afternoon until the time of services.
