Notes from Schleswig:
Another pioneer resident passed away at the home of his son-in-law, August Steinbeck, on Sunday last, Mr. Frederick Ninmer at the age of 91 years, 6 months and 11 days. His death was caused by a stroke of paralysis, which he suffered a few days before his death.
Mr. Ninmer was born January 8, 1823 in Schonwald,Manefield, Germany. In 1849 he was united in marriage to Henriette Peckruhn. They immigrated to this country in 1856 coming directly to the Town of Schleswig where he bought 80 acres of "bush land" which he turned into a nice farm. He lived in Schleswig continuously.

He leaves seven children, three sons and four daughters besides twenty-four grandchildren and eighteen great grandchildren to mourn his death. His wife died in 1910.

Mr Ninmer was a good, honest man and well liked by all who knew him. He was buried Tuesday afternoon of last week in the Louis Corners Cemetery. Pastor Witte officiated.
