Nathaniel is most likely buried at Forest Green. A McAllister researcher emailed years ago asking what I knew about him. After awhile he was able to connect him to James Garland and Temperance Jackson McAllister. Nathaniel's place of burial is still a mystery. The researcher found where Nathaniel had received a land grant in Johnson County. One of his sister's family stayed there. We are thinking he went first, leaving Amelia and the four children in Chariton county. Something happened and it is possible that he died and is buried in Johnson County. His death date appears in the mysterious Bible pages. His Birth, Marriage and Death are the first entry on every page. This was Nathaniel and Amelia's family Bible.

Nathaniel's oldest daughter Mary Temperance Sneed stayed in the neighborhood and is buried at Forest Green. She does not have a stone either, but death certificates proves she is there. Assuming Nathaniel is buried at Forest Green, then he does not have a stone. Which if that is Mary in our picture then I imagine there was never money for a stone. A widow with four youngins, then marries a man with four or more plus they have two, he disappears, marries another with two and they have four.
