Our loving father, grandfather, brother, and friend, Quentin "Bob" Fox, age 87, passed away peacefully on March 25, 2010 in Price while surrounded by family.

Born June 19, 1922 in Salt Lake City to Harry E. and Suzanne Castang Fox.

He married Marie "Al" Snyder on May 16, 1948 in Elko, Nevada. She died November 4, 1999.

Bob was a longtime resident of Carbon County and a graduate of Carbon High School. He honorably served his country in the U.S. Navy during World War II. After returning from the service, Bob went to work in the coal mines where he was a proud member of the United Mine Workers of America. After retiring from the mines, he went to work for UDOT where he later retired from the materials lab.

He loved traveling with his wife in his fifth wheel, especially their trips to Alaska. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, and was always willing to lend a hand to anyone in need. Bob had a sweet tooth and he definitely enjoyed his chocolate. He loved spending time with his family and will be dearly missed by all.

Survived by his children, William "Bill" (Barbara) Fox, Helper, Lynnette (Richard) Rudman, Price, Robert "Bob" (Peggy) Fox, Rock Springs, Wyoming, Kelly (Dane) Wise, Carbonville; sister, Faye (Bill) Branson, sister-in-law, Millie Fox, all of Helper; nine grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; many loving nieces, nephews, and a community of dear friends.

He was preceded in death by his wife; parents; brothers, Harry Jr. and William Kent; sisters, Mary Aagard and Janece Fox; and grandson, Ryan Fox.

Funeral Services will be held on Tuesday, March 30, 2010 at 11:00 a.m. at Mitchell Funeral Home. The family will be at Mitchell's on Monday evening from 7:00-8:00 p.m. and Tuesday one hour prior to the services.
Interment: Mountain View Cemetery, Helper, with full military honors accorded by the Price and Helper American Legions.
