Guy Leslie Palumbo, 73, of Crossville, passed away March 15, 2005, in
Knoxville, TN. Funeral services were held March 17 at Central Baptist
Church, with a graveside service at Estes Cemetery in Coal Field, TN. Roland
Smith officiated.
Mr. Palumbo was born April 25, 1931, in Whitesburg, KY. He served with
distinction as a pilot in the U.S. Air Force and was awarded the Bronze Star
for his service during Vietnam. He retired as a major and returned to his
hometown of Whitesburg, KY, to practice law. He was married for 30 years to
his wife, Julia Palumbo. He was a man of many talents, skills and interests.
He was preceded in death by parents John Palumbo and Della Howard Palumbo,
and Lisa Palumbo.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial donations be made to
Gideons International or Hospice of Cumberland County.
Crossville Memorial Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc., was in charge of the
arrangements.
