Mrs. Lechler is Stricken Today; Rites on Sunday
Kiel - Mrs. Ferdinand Lechler, 75, a resident of the town of Eaton, died at 7:45 a.m. today at her farm home, five miles north of Kiel, following a lingering illness.
Nee Emma Strassmann, the daughter of Michael and Antonia Zorn Strassmann, the deceased was born May 10, 1871, in the town of Schleswig. She was married to Ferdinand Lecher on March 6, 1891, and the couple moved to the present farm home in Eaton township where they have since resided.
They celebrated their golden wedding anniversary in May, 1941.
Survivors include her husband; two daughters, Mrs. Rudolph (Lucy) Ibe, Town Eaton, and Mrs. Clarence (Violet) Anhalt, Kiel; five sons, Hubert, John, James and Michael, all of the town of Eaton, and Helmuth, Kiel; 15 grandchildren; two brothers, William and Benjamin, Town Eaton, and two sisters, Mrs. Louise Arbter, Sturgeon Bay, and Mrs. Jacob Spettel, of the town of Eaton.
