Funeral services for Benjamin T. Strasman, 82, of the Town of Eaton were held Monday afternoon at the Meiselwitz Funeral Home, Kiel. Burial was in Eaton Cemetery.
Mr. Strasman died Saturday morning at Calumet Memorial Hospital, Chilton.
He was born January 17, 1890 in the Town of Schleswig, a son of the late Michael and Louise Zorn Strasman. He attended district schools.
On October 5, 1914 he married the former Martha Wriedt at New Holstein. The couple lived in northern Wisconsin prior to moving to Schleswig 29 years ago.
Mr. Strasman was a farmer and later employed as a carpenter for Stoelting Brothers at Kiel, retiring in 1967.
The couple observed their golden wedding anniversary in 1964. Mr. Strasman was a member of the Kiel congregation of Jehovah Witnesses.
Survivors are his widow; two daughters,Mrs. Robert (Mae) Lee of Joliet, Ill., and Mrs. John (Pearl) Ruh, a son, Archie of Sturgeon Bay; nine grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren.
