Funeral services for Mrs Josie Cox were held Saturday in the First Baptist church in Tuttle, with Rev Stanley Daniels officiating, assisted by Rev Alvin McConnell. Music was furnished by the church choir. Pallbearers were Troy Streber, Leonard Streber, Junior Streber, Frank Bennett, Don McFall, & Verle Barnes. Mrs Josie Cox, age 68, was born 5/1/1906 in Vance, Tex and passed away Wednesday, 5/30/1973 in an Oklahoma City hospital. She married Andy Cox on 7/26/1921 at Vance, Tex and moved to the Tuttle area in January 1940. She was a member of the First Baptist church, Tuttle. Survivors include her husband, Andy, of the home, 1 son, Dub, of Houston, Tex, 2 daughers, Mrs Florence White of Edmond, and Mrs Billy Hinkle of Tuttle, 8 grandchildren, 4 great grandchildren, and 1 sister, Mrs Eda Tinsley of Britton. Interment was in Fairview cemetery under direction of Sevier funeral home, Tuttle.
