~ Mount Vernon News ~ Monday, 18 March, 1985 - Arthur "Peck" Steinmetz Sr., 85, Jacobs Road, died Sunday in Northside Manor Nursing Center.
.. He was born Sept. 25, 1899 in Mount Vernon to Howard and Sophia (Gorsuch) Steinmetz. Mr Steinmetz was a member of Hopewell United Methodist Church and Pleasant Grange.
.. Surviving are his wife, Ruth (Veatch) Steinmetz; two sons, Arthur Jr. and Keith, both of Mount Vernon; two daughters, Mrs. Dwighht (Kathryn) Smith of Curwensville, Pa., and Karen Steinmetz of Columbus; nine grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren.
.. Friends may call 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday in the Dowds-Wiggins Funeral Home, where the funeral will be 1:30 p.m. Wednesday with the Rev. Gary Dickson officiating. Burial will be in Hopewell Cemetery. TJD2013
