He is survived by his wife, Katholeen, one daughter and son-in-law, Joann and Larry Jacobs of Robinson, four sisters, Iceley France of rural West Union, Jane Crow of rural Martinsville, Fern Dix of Creston, Iowa, and Eva Dix of Springfield, Ill.; and one brother, Glen Nidey of Chicago, Ill.
Mr. Nidey was a member of Crawford Lodge No. 666 A.F.A.M. and the West York Bible Church. He was a long-time member of the West York Fire Department.
Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Sunday at the Prust-Hosch Funeral Chapel in West Union with the Rev. Charles Miller and the Rev. Jean Bennett officiating. Burial followed in the Bradbury Cemetery. Masonic services were held at 8 p.m. Saturday at the chapel.
