Opal Weddle
Opal Weddle, Somerset, formerly of Nancy, passed away on Friday, Dec. 28, 2007. She was 95. Opal was born in Nancy, Ky., Aug. 24, 1912, to the late Andrew Virgil and Vona Pyles Weddle. She was of the Baptist faith. She was a long time member of the White Oak Baptist Church. Opal was faithful to her church, loved to visit with her church family and share God's Word with others. She is preceded in death by her parents; brothers, Arnold Weddle, Albert Weddle, Leonard Weddle, Earl Weddle, Virl Weddle and James "Jim" Weddle; and a sister, Ruby Weddle Bombaci. Opal is survived by her brothers, Earnest (and his wife, Thelma) Weddle, Nancy, and Gordon (and his wife, Emma) Weddle, Norwood, Ohio; her sisters, Olive Weddle, Somerset and Gladys Weddle Daulton, Nancy; and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services for Opal Weddle will be held 3:30 p.m. Monday, Dec. 31, 2007, at the chapel of the Nancy Funeral Home. Dr. James Floyd and Bro. John East will officiate. Visitation will be held Monday from 3 p.m. until time for funeral services. Interment will follow in the White Oak Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the White Oak Baptist Church.
