MRS. RUDY SCHMIDT, 57, EXPIRES UNEXPECTEDLY
MRS. IRENE SCHMIDT, 57, wife of RUDY SCHMIDT, 236 Valley av., SW, died unexpectedly Monday night while visiting friends in Kalamazoo. Death was ascribed to a heart ailment.
Mrs. Schmidt was born near Caledonia. She lived here 54 years. She was a member of the Altar society of St. Jame's church and of the Daisy Chain of the Elks lodge.
Surviving besides the husband are three sons, THOMAS, BERNARD and JAMES of Grand Rapids; three daughters, MRS. BARBARA KEENAN of Spring Lake, MRS. J. PATRICK SIKORS of Terrell, Tex., and MISS PEGGY SCHMIDT at home; a sister, MRS. ANN FLYNN of Grand Rapids, and six grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday in St. Jame's church. Burial will be in Resurrection cemetery. The body is at the residence.
