Anton Von Ruden, brother of Martin Von Ruden of Pine Hollow and father of John Von Ruden, is 80 years old and very feeble; having been sick for about a year, and grieving over the loss of his wife, is at this time reported quite ill.
The Von Ruden family have attended Pine Hollow church for many years, therefore they wanted their last resting place in St. Peter and Paul's cemetery, so the funeral of Mrs. Von Ruden was held at the Pine Hollow church on Wednesday, at 10 A.M. One son, Martin of Kansas, arrived too late for the morning services, so the remanins were kept in the cemetery chapel until in the afternoon, when they were taken to the family lot.
The great number of neighbors, who accompanied the remains for fourteen miles shows what the community at Coon Prairie think of the famiy. Mrs. Von Ruden was a truly Christian woman who will hardly be forgotten.
The children: Mrs. Theresa Kroeger, Summit; Mrs. Lizzie Dickson, Bernard,; Fred, Coon Prairie: John, Cashton; Martin, Kansas; Mrs Bernadene Scott, Winona, Minnesota; Mrs. Anna Lins, S.D.; Anton, N.D.
