S. J. CABLE, 80, PASSES AWAY THIS AFTERNOON
Solomon Jackson (Jack) Cable retired Taylorville Miner died at 2:30 o'clock this afternoon in St. Vincent hospital where he had been a patient since suffering a paralytic stroke early Monday morning at his home at 618 East Park St. He was 80 years old.

Mr. Cable was born July 15, 1858 at Salem, IL. He came to Taylorville about 40 years ago. He was first married to Miss Lyda Bullard in 1880. Following her death he married Nora Estes in 1897, She died and he married Mary Murphy in 1907. She survives him.

Besides his wife he leaves the following children, Claude and Fred, whereabouts unknown and Lloyd of Taylorville all by his 1st wife, Maude Cable of Eldorodo, IL., and John of Detroit, both by his 2nd wife and Jack of Detroit by his 3rd wife.

He also leaves two brothers Tom and M.S. Cable of Taylorville and one sister, Mrs. Lydia True of Centralia. The body has been removed to the Bulpitt Funeral Home and will remain there. The funeral will be held at 2 o'clock Thursday afternoon at the Bulpitt Home and Burial will be in Oak Hill Cemetery.

Taylorvile, Nov. 15.--Solomon Jackson Cable, 80, retired Taylorville miner, died Tuesday afternoon in the St. Vincent hospital. He suffered a stroke of paralysis Monday. He had lived in Taylorville more than forty years.

He was born at Salem, Ill., on July 15, 1858.

He was married in 1880 to Miss Lyda Bullard and in 1897 to Miss Nora Estes. In 1907 he married Miss May Murphy, who survives him.

He leaves the following childen: Claude, Fred, Lloyd, Maude, John and Jack Cable and two brothers, Tom and M. S. Cable and a sister, Mrs. Lydia True.

The body will remain in the Bulpitt funeral home until after funeral services at 2 p.m. Thursday. Burial will be in Oak Hill cemetery, Taylorville.
