SHERMAN CABLE

SPECIAL TO THE STATE JOURNAL

Taylorville, Sept. 3.--- Sherman Cable, 63, prominent farmer residing two and one-half miles south of here, died at the St. Vincent's hospital at 5:45 p.m. today. About three weeks ago Mr. Cable underwent an operation, but failed to rally and gradually grew weaker until the end came.

Decedent was born in Raleigh, October 11, 1865, the son of Basil and Barbara Cable. In 1881 he moved to Taylorville, where in August of 1893 he was married to Miss Rilda Wallace. Mr. and Mrs. Cable moved on a farm near Taylorville where they have since resided.

Surviving are the wife, and the following brothers and sisters; Mrs. Eliza True, Centralia; S. G. Cable, Raleigh; M. S. Cable and T. H. Cable of this city.

Funeral services will be held at 2:30 o'clock Wednesday, from the Bullpit funeral home. Rev. A. L. Pasley in charge. Interment will be in Oak Hill cemetery.
