Philipp Schmidt (sic) a well-known and old-time resident of the town of Rhine, died Monday at the home of his son on the old homestead, at the age of 69 years, 7 months and 14 days.
Deceased was born in the town of Rhine, on July 14, 1854, and was married in 1894 to Augusta Limburg, who survives him with five sons and two daughters.
The funeral was held Monday afternoon. Rev. Thomas of St. Peters church officiating. Burial was in the Schmidt cemetery, located on his farm.
