All of his life was spent in the Willamette Valley. For the past ten years he had been employed at the Dronbecker Sawmill at Oregon City. In his youth he accepted Christ as his personal Saviour and united with the Zion Mennonite Church, Hubbard, Oreg., where he was a member at the time of his death.
In 1910 he was married to Ella Hostetler. To this union were born 5 sons and 3 daughters (Roy, Hubbard, Oreg.; Etta Beer, Wickensburg, Ariz.; Roscoe, Barlow, Oreg; Fred, Hubbard, Oreg.; Harold, Troutdale, Oreg.; Rovena Kallstrom, Canby, Oreg; and 13 grandchildren, and one stepsister (Etta Watzig, Orchard, Wash.). One brother preceded him in death.
Funeral services were in charge of Edward Kenagy with burial in the Zion Mennonite Church Cemetery.
