CANBY -- Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 6, at Canby Funeral Chapel for Roscoe Henry Christner, 87.

Visitation will be from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Wednesday and from 10 a.m. to service time on Thursday.

Born Sept. 17, 1914 in Aurora, Mr. Christner died Dec. 1, 2001. He had lived in this area his entire lifetime. He was a farmer and also worked for Goodwill Industries for many years, retiring in the early '70s.

A veteran of World War II U.S. Army service, he was discharged as a disabled war veteran. He enjoyed gardening.

He is survived by his wife, Edna, whom he married in 1950; son, Levi of Canby; two grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. A son, John, preceded him in death in 1993.
