"Fred Jacob Christner, 90, of Hubbard, died March 11, 2008 at his home.
"He was born Oct. 23, 1917, in Molalla. He served in the U. S. Army during World War II in the African and European theaters.
"He was a dairy farmer for 15 years. For most of his career, he worked for Crown Zellerbach in the road construction department, retiring in 1979. He lived in the Hubbard area most of his life.
"Survivors include his brother, Leonard, of Molalla.
"Graveside services will be held Saturday, March 22, at Zion Mennonite Cemetery, Hubbard. Viewing will be from 10 to 5 p.m. Friday, March 21, at Canby Funeral Chapel."
