Albert Engelbrecht

Albert Engelbrecht, 84, of the Village of Mishicot, died Monday morning, December 3, 1990, at Holy Family Medical Center, Manitowoc.

Funeral services will be Thursday 1:30 p.m. at St. Peter Ev. Lutheran Church, Mishicot. Rev. David Waege officiating. Entombment at Knollwood Mausoleum.

He was born in the Town of Two Creeks on November 10, 1906, son of the late August and Albertina Kempfert Engelbrecht. He was married to Dolores Kahrs on June 19, 1935. She preceded him in May, 1979. On September 12, 1981, he married Vera Waegli Lambert. He owned and operated a dairy farm. He also raised mink and fox. The farm is now operated by his sons as the Le-Al Farms in the Town of Two Creeks. He was a long-time member of St. Johns Ev. Lutheran Church, Two Creeks, until moving to Mishicot and joining St. Peters Ev. Lutheran Church. He is a charter member of the Town of Two Creeks Volunteer Fire Department. He was past Accessor and Town Clerk, Town of Two Creeks, for 28 years. He was a member of the Silver K Kiwanis Club, past Secretary of Manitowoc Towns Association. He was on the Manitowoc County Commission on Aging and the Winnebago Area Aging Agency. He volunteered for the Red Cross Wheels Program. He was a member of St. Johns Lutheran Mens Club, Two Rivers, and a member of the Mishicot Senior Citizens. He also had been a drummer for the Two Creeks Farm Hands Band.

Survivors include his wife; two sons and daughters-in-law, Curtis and Judy Engelbrecht of Cameron, Wisconsin, and Lee and Barb Engelbrecht of Two Creeks; two brothers, Walter and Herbert Engelbrecht of Two Rivers; one sister, Mrs. Emma Hayden of California; one step son; one step daughter; five grandchildren; five step grandchildren; one great granddaughter; and two step great granddaughters. He was preceded in death by two brothers, Bart and Louis.

Friends may call at Lambert Funeral Home, Mishicot, 4-9 p.m. Wednesday. Thursday at the church from noon to the time of services.
