Mrs. Isaac had lived in or near Douglass, KS since 1908.
Maud Phoebe Woods, daughter of James W. and Mary Ann Bousfield Woods, was born January 5, 1877, at Brandon, Wisconsin. She moved with her parents to Emerson, Nebraska, when a small child.
She was united in marriage on December 25, 1901 to Nels A. Isaac. He passed away several years ago.
The family moved to Kansas in 1908 and lived for years on a farm southeast of Douglass. When a young woman, she joined the Presbyterian Church and later transferred to the Methodist Church.
She leaves to mourn her passing three daughters; Mrs. Hazel (Paul) Kinnamon, Augusta; Mrs. Vera (George) Wakefield, Leon; and Mrs Gail (Orville) Donley, Ottumwa, Iowa; with four grandchildren, Mrs. Joyce Muse, Anna Maud Isaac, Francis Kinnamon, and Pauline Donley. There are also many other relatives and friends.
Surviving are the following brothers and sisters; P. J. Woods, E. M. Woods, Mrs. Mary (Walter) Hartenbower of Douglass; Mrs. Eva (Claude) Beal, Mrs. Gladys (Kenneth) McLaughlin, Clearwater; Bryan Woods, Stella Missouri, John L. Douglas of Belleville, KS
