Mary Estella Woods Hartenbower, age 75 years, the daughter of James and Sarah Jennie Woods was born at Emerson, Nebraska, November 20, 1892, and died in Douglass April 26, 1967.
She was married to Walter Hartenbower November 30, 1910. He preceded her in death February 13, 1959.
Mary was an active member of the Douglass Methodist Church, WSCS, a 50 yr. member of the Order of the Eastern Star, Woodbine Chapter 95, a member of the P.E.O. Sisterhood and Douglass American Legion Auxilary.

She is survived by two sisters, Mrs. Eva Beal and Mrs. Gladys McLaughlin, of Clearwater, KS; two brothers, Bryan Woods, Stella Missouri, and Ernest Woods of RR3, Derby, KS;
two nieces she helped raise, Mrs. Cecile McLaughlin, Clearwater, KS, and Mrs. Mildred Rider, Ft. Worth, TX and one nephew W. W. Wakefield of Denver, CO.
Services were held Saturday, April 29, 2:00 p.m. from the Douglass Methodist Church, Rev. Wayne D. Findlay officiating.
Casket bearers were Leon Woods, Bill Woods, Bryan Woods, Steve McLaughlin, Kenneth Douglas, and Francis Kinnamon. Interment was in the Douglass Cemetery.
