Lewis H. Woolsey, one of the most prominent residents of New Paltz died there on Wednesday. He was president of the New Paltz Savings Bank, had served as trustee of the village and was an exempt fireman. Mr. Woolsey was born in New Paltz in 1837 and was twice married. His first wife was Hannah M. LeFevre and his second Maria A. Booth. Deceased is survived by a widow, two daughters, Edna, wife of Dr. Clarence H. Woolsey of New Paltz, and Lulu, wife of F.C. Waldron of New York, and one son, Leon H Woolsey of Arizona. He has two brothers, E. E. Woolsey of Nebraska and George I. Woolsey of new York. The funeral was held on Monday afternoon, the Rev. B.J. Bush and the Rev. C. E. Lasher officiating.
