In Memory Of: Trixie M. Branum
Funeral services were held Thursday, May 31, in Watonga Miricle Church for Trixie M. Branum who died Wednesday, May 30,1979, at Watonga Hospital at age 72.
Born to Mr. and Mrs. Watson Franks on Aug. 23,1906, in Water Creek, Ala., she spent most of her time in the Watonga area. She attended the Miricle Church and was a homemaker.
She married Perry Davis in 1921 and he preceded her in death. In 1933 she married Jim Slay in Florida. He also predeceased her. She married Andrew Branum in 1953.
Survivors include her children Edward and Willard Davis, both of Watonga; Stella Knight, Oklahoma City; Willie Mae Henderson, Mack Slay and Junior Slay,all of Watonga; Ruth Taylor of Oklahoma City and James Slay of Greenfield. There are also 28 grandchildren and 27 great-grandchildren. One child preceded her in death.
Pastor Goldie Dunn officiated at the services, and interment was in Pinkerton Cemetery at Watonga. Wilkinson Mortuary was in charge of arrangements.
