MRS. IDA BAILEY PASSED AWAY IN PURDIN, SEPT. 11
Ida A., daughter of William and Eliza Jane Richardson, was born Apr. 19, 1869 in Macon County, Missouri, and passed away Sept. 11, 1945 at the age of 76 years, 4 months and 13 days.
Her early girlhood was spent in Macon County and on Aug. 25, 1887, she was united in marriage with William Bailey, who preceded her in death Sept. 7, 1933.
To this union was born one daughter, Clella Eunice. Practically all her married life was spent in St. Catherine, Missouri.
After the death of her husband, she moved to Purdin, Missouri, to be near her daughter, where she has since resided. She had been in failing health but seemed to be gaining. She was overjoyed that her daughter had moved from Browning to Purdin to be near her and car for her, but her joy was shortened. She visited a neighbor Monday where she suffered a stroke from which she never regained consciousness.
Everything possible was done for her but to no avail and she passed away at 3:30 a.m. Tuesday, Sept. 11.
She leaves to mourn her going, the daughter, Mrs. Clella Buswell, and son-in-law, Jim Buswell, who was like a son to her; and several nieces and nephews.
She was the only surviving member of eleven.
She was a loving companion and mother, good neighbor, and friend to all who knew her.
Funeral services were conducted at Pleasant View. Burial was in the cemetery nearby under the direction of Thorn Undertakers.
