Mary Aurora's brother Adolph Bastien is buried near her at the Watersmeet Township Cemetery. Adolph was a Section Foreman for the C&NW Railroad and died of diphtheria while working in the Watersmeet area.
He was only 26 yrs old and left a wife and young child in Gladstone, MI.
