Hoisington, Violet Ruth Mix, 77, died Wednesday evening at Ft dodge, Kan., following a long illness. Born June 27, 1893 in Chicago, she lived most of her life in the Hoisington and Great Bend communities. She married Jasper Mix, Aug 22, 1942 at Flagstaff, Ariz. He died in 1968.
Survivors include a son, Willis J Ochs, Rt 1, Great Bend; to daughters Mrs Ray ( Lenora) Humphrey, Hoisington; Mrs Bill ( Anita) Evans, St George, Kan; one brother, Robert Brackley, Ft Dodge, Kan; nine grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be 11 am Saturday at Nicholson-Ricke Funeral Home, First and Green, with the Rev R J Gotschall officiating. Burial will be in the Hoisington Cemetery.
Friends may call 9 am to 9 pm Friday and 9 am until time of services Saturday. The casket will not be opened following the services.
