Lucy J. Foster d/o William Foster and Elizabeth Ellen (Lathrop), Foster, 2/hJames Watts, 3/h Elias J. Machlan. Grandaughter of Elijah B.(Bogue) Lathrop and Sarah A Munson of Oquawka, Henderson Co., IL. She grew up in Oquawaka, IL. and Ionia, Michigan.
Lucy's 1st marriage 3 Apr 1889 Ionia, MI to William Foster Shively (Div. Ionia, Ionia Co., MI. 16 Oct.16,1894). William Foster Shively was son of Daniel Shively and Phoebe Ann Rose Shively
of Keene, Ionia Co., MI. William and Lucy had one child: Cora Ethel Shively b. Sep 1889 d. 10 Mar 1890 buried in Higland Park Cemetery no tombstone for her.

2nd marriage to Ebb T. Stearnes 9 Mar, 1895 Ionia, MI. parents: William C. Stearns and Deliah Waffle. No children from this marriage.
"Ionia Sentinel" 11 July, 1914 obituary Mrs.Lucy Stearns, a resident of Grand Rapids died suddenly at her home 840 Hall St. S.E. Thursday and remains were brought here this city for burial in Highland Park Cemetery. Rev. Branch conducted the services at the grave. Mr. Stearns is a foreman at Stafford factory in this city.
Her mother Elizabeth Ellen (Lathrop) Foster, Watts, Macklin confirmed also buried in Highland Park Cemetery not far from Lucy Stearns grave. No tombstone for her mother Elizabeth Ellen
Macklin.

Deaths
STEARNS----July 9, at her home 840 E. Hall Street, S. E. Mrs. Lucy Stearns aged
thirty-eight years. She was a member of Independent hive, L.O.T.M.M. and the
Herkimer Rebekah Lodge. The husband, mother, three brothers and four sisters
survive her. Funeral services will be held at the residence Saturday morning at
9 o'clock. The body will be taken to Ionia for interment.

We wish to thank the kind friends and neighbors for the kindness and sympathy
shown us during our recent bereavement, the death of our wife, daughter, and
sister Mrs. E. T. Stearns.

Also Independent hive No 489, L. O. T. M. M and Herkimer Rebekah Lodge, No. 353
for the beautiful flowers.
