Mrs. Kimmel was born September 19, 1898, near Seminary Community (by Parkersburg, IL), the daughter of George and Mary Hall Whitaker.
Mrs. Kimmel died Friday Jan. 9, 1987 at Richland Memorial Hospital.
She attended Barton School and on Feb. 9, 1916 she married Urice Kimmel in Richland County.
She was a lifelong Richland County resident and a member of the Elbow United Brethren Church where she served as organist for several years.
Mrs. Kimmel is survived by her husband, Urice Kimmel of Olney, one son Kenneth Kimmel of Olney, one daughter Claribel Whitaker of Olney; six grandchildren, twelve great-grandchildren and two great great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by two sons, one sister and four nephews.
Funeral services for Nellie Cleo Kimmel, 88, were held Jan. 12, 1987 at Zirkle Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Haven Hill cemetery, Olney.
