Mr. Kimmel was born March 7, 1896 in Richland County, the son of George and Laura Herrin Kimmel.
He married Nellie Cleo Feb. 9, 1916 and she died Jan. 9, 1987.
He was a retired farmer and a member of Elbow United Brethren Church. He was also a member of Richland County Farm Bureau and American Hereford Association.
Survivors include a son, Kenneth Kimmel, Olney; a daughter, Mrs. James (Clarabel) Whitaker, Olney; two sisters, Mrs. Lee Wyatt of Olney and Mrs. Roellen Kesler of Olney; six grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren, and five great-great-grandchildren.
His wife, one son, one daughter, three brothers and two sisters preceded him in death.
