Henry, was the youngest of ten children born to Johann Heinrich Wilhelm (William Henry) Hahn and Ernstine Christine Spellmann.
Henry married Wilhelmina Katherine Konrad on November 25, 1919, in DeWitt County, Texas. They had nine children: seven sons and two daughters. They lived in Westhoff, Nopal, and then moved to Green Lake (near Port Lavaca) in Calhoun County, Texas, by 1932.
Henry was a farmer. At Green Lake, he lived down the road from the farm of his brother (my grandfather), August. We sometimes visited Uncle Henry and Aunt Minnie when I was at the age of five to seven. They were a wonderful couple, very hospitable and well liked.
Henry lived to the age of 87.
