MRS. HUGH DOYLE DIES AT WESTBORO

FIFTY-FIVE YEARS SPENT ON SAME FARM

Husband, Four Daughters and One Son Survive-Funeral Monday-Burial at Center Grove.

Mrs. Hugh Doyle, Sr., of Westboro, who with husband, had lived on the same farm throughout her fifty-five years of married life, passed away at the family home Saturday, Aril 17th, at the age of 76 years, one month and 11 days.

Funeral services were conducted by Rev. E. E. Bayse at the Westboro Methodist church Monday afternoon, with internment at Center Grove cemetery.

Mary Ellen, daughter of Rev. Chase Taylor and Elizabeth Jackson Taylor, was born near Weeping Water, Neb., February 6th, 1861. At the age of twelve years she moved to the Westboro community.

To Mr. and Mrs. Doyle were born four daughters and two sons, of whom mourn, with the husband, the passing of this good woman are: Lulu Peck of Stockville, Neb.; Mrs. Elizabeth Johnson of Chicago; Mrs. Blanche McClure of Kansas City, Miss Letah Doyle of the home and Hugh Doyle, Jr., of Westboro community. There are also three grandchildren and one great-granddaughter. Mrs. Doyle also reared another child from babyhood, she now being Mrs. Jerry Bredensteiner. One sister, Mrs. Mattie Brownlee of Nisbet, Pa., is living.

In a Methodist revival meeting in 1887 she was converted under Rev. Forrest and remained faithful and steadfast to the church she loved. She was a member of the Women's Foreign Missionary Society and the W.C.T.U. for over forty years.

Mrs. Doyle was known for her beautiful character and generous hospitality and the lavish devotion of a mother's love to those who neeeded help.

Mr. and Mrs. Dole Observed their fifty-fifth wedding anniversary Mary 6th of this year on the farm where they have resided throughout their married life.
